I had the pleasure of spending a little over a week on The Sunshine Coast in B.C. in early February. A welcome respite from the cold Alberta winter.
Located on the west coast of Canada, the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia is a gem. From the rugged coastline to the stunning forest trails, visitors can immerse themselves in nature.
Kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing are popular activities in the area, while the Skookumchuck Narrows offer a thrilling display of the ocean’s power as it forcefully flows through the narrow passage.
Whether you’re seeking a relaxing escape or an invigorating outdoor adventure, the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia has something to offer everyone.
I decided to challenge myself by not bringing a bigger camera with an interchangeable lens, and decided to give Ricoh GRIII (a small but mighty fixed lens camera) a try. I hope you like the results.
Day One
Wandered around Sechelt, Davis Bay & Sargeant Bay.
Day Two
Gibsons & a drive through Robert’s Creek.
Day Three
Halfmoon Bay, Smuggler Cove & Robert’s Creek Provincial Park.
Day Four
Back to Davis Bay & Robert’s Creek Provincial Park.
Bonus! Me taking a short walk on a long pier.
Day Five
A little more time in Gibsons and a few other beaches.
Day Six
Earl’s Cove and The Skookumchuck Narrows.
Day Seven
Sechelt, Robert’s Creek and a few other beaches.
Day Eight
More beaches and more trails.
Days Nine & Ten
Still more beaches and then back to the ferry.
I loved the performance of the Ricoh GR III and although you have to zoom with your feet, I found it to be the perfect travel companion.
And in case you were wondering, I also brought my Insta360 on the trip.
Cheers!
