September 2024

After an incredible month in Europe, you would think I was ready to get back home and get back to work. Well not as such. I had quit my job and given up my house so I guess it was time to head west.

Why yes, I did leave my boot on the top of the car and then we drove 50km before noticing. Why do you ask?

A quick pit stop and then on to Sun Peaks for a night or two.

A couple of relaxing days in Kamloops.

Back to Alberta for a night to pick up a few last things from storage. We decided to spend the night in Jasper on the way back west. Jasper had been ravaged by fires this summer so staying there was bittersweet.

Back through BC with a couple of stops for good measure.

Mt. Robson, Wells Gray Country & a random spot on the highway to be somewhat vague.

Kamloops for a day…

…and Lake Kalamalka for an afternoon…

…before sleeping for a day and then going further west and hopping on a ferry to Vancouver Island.

Time to run around Victoria for a few days.

The Sooke Potholes

Followed by a nice walk on Whiffin Spit…

…and dinner at this fine establishment.

Back to Victoria for sunset on the last day of the month. Perfect timing.
