December 2024

After a very busy November spent mostly unpacking boxes & donating most of the stuff it was time to get acquainted with the area. First up:

Goldstream Provincial Park

*For the squeamish, we arrived at the tail end of Salmon spawning season. Salmon die after spawning. It is both gross, beautiful and very smelly at the same time.
Followed by a little drive up The Mallahat above the clouds
Finally back to Victoria for sunset
Day one complete. Now for the rest of the month.

Signs of the Holiday Season were starting to pop up.

I had decided to sell off some old camera gear so I made the following video as a commercial for one of them.

Mt Douglas

A wonderful place for hiking with trails for all fitness levels or you can even drive up to the top for the spectacular view. We had no idea what we were in for and accidentally took one of the harder trails. It cured the hangover.
Spent a bit more time familiarizing myself with the new neighbourhood.
Then is was time to head back to Alberta for the Holidays
Went for a wander in my old stomping grounds
I enjoyed the holidays with friends and family while helping my mom get the family home ready to sell in the spring.
Let's see how next year goes.
